The Colonial Region invites you to join us in New Britain, just southwest of Hartford, for what promises to be another blockbuster event. The VFW post has a large hall with 65 tables, and the adjacent parking area allows level, easy access directly into the hall. Plan now to attend and enjoy a day of lively trading well into the afternoon, with a donation auction that features quality material from near and far. Breakfast and lunch will be available on site, along with complimentary coffee and donuts. Member registration fees are $7 with no table and $15 with one table; additional tables are $20 each. Our winter 2016 meet attracted 90 members from 13 states, and we expect to have a higher turnout in New Britain because the hall is larger and this is a new venue for us. Don't miss it! Please watch this space for additional information or contact host Bob Senatro at (860) 874-3985 or See you in Connecticut!

Directions to Meet:

Venue: VFW Post 511; 41 Veterans Dr.; New Britain, CT 06051

The hall is located about nine miles southwest of Hartford. It is on the southern edge of New Britain, just north of the Kensington section of the town of Berlin. The hall is next door to Schaller Honda-Mitsubishi.

From I-91 take exit 22N onto state route 9 north. From route 9 take exit 24 (a left lane exit) marked Kensington, routes 71 and 372, then take the first exit right after you leave route 9, marked route 71, Kensington. Turn right at the end of the ramp, then take the first right onto Veterans Drive just beyond the auto dealership. The driveway for the hall is just beyond the dealer lot.

From I-84 eastbound (from Waterbury) take exit 35 (a left lane exit) onto state route 72. Follow route 72 to its end at state route 9, then take route 9 south. From route 9 take exit 25, the first exit, to Ellis Street. Turn left onto Ellis St., and then turn left at the first traffic light (at the 7-Eleven) onto S. Main Street. Proceed 0.6 mile and turn onto Veterans Drive at the auto dealership. The driveway for the hall is just beyond the dealer lot.

From I-84 westbound (from NE Conn. and eastern Mass.) take exit 57 onto state route 15 towards the Charter Oak Bridge and I-91 south. Just after crossing the river take exit 86 and merge onto I-91 south, then follow the directions for I-91 above.

This will be our return visit to the site that welcomed 77 members from 15 states and provinces and boasted 65 tables at last year's spring meet. This location is right off I-91. Take exit 3 in Brattleboro and go 1/8th of a mile to US Route 5. Go south for a quarter mile and take a right at the first traffic light onto Black Mountain Rd. Enter the third driveway on the left for the VFW hall. We will be on the ground floor, with no stairs or grade to overcome to enter the hall. There will be plenty of parking within easy access to the hall entrance, and lodging available at the five hotels located within a mile of the meet. This hall site is located within 20 miles of the Vermont/Massachusetts state line, and one mile of the New Hampshire/Vermont state line. Local host Conrad Hughson can be reached with any questions at, or (802) 387-4498. See you in Brattleboro!
